Odd Pairs
This game introduces odd and even numbers through a series of interactive tasks and questions. It takes the students from what is concrete and tangible and helps them relate it to new concepts and patterns. They can discover the patterns themselves with the guided help of the game character’s prompts.
When they make a mistake, rather than directly showing them the correct answer, they are led through follow-up questions that allow them to rethink their answer. This sequence also involves further interaction with the environment, enabling them to spot their mistakes more clearly.
How to play
Timmy interacts with the player through speaking, so make sure your audio is on to hear what he's saying.
Depending on the task Timmy has asked you to complete, you will be able to interact with items in the environment by dragging and dropping using your mouse.
To answer questions that pop up, you can click on the blanks with the question mark and select the answer you would like to choose from the options available. For answers with numbers, use the blue knob to click and drag around the circle to select the amount you want. When you're ready to submit the answer, press the green check button.
If you're not sure what to do, try clicking on Timmy. He will repeat the instructions.
To open the notebook (once it's unlocked), simply select the icon in the top right corner. Selecting the icon again while the notebook is open will close it.
